Fumoon parla di un pianeta Terra devastato dall'inquinamento, al punto che piante e fiori
sono scomparsi, e i pochi esemplari rimasti sono talmente preziosi da esser conservati in
teche protettive. Il mondo continua a inquinare e invece d'investire in risorse per il
bene dell'uomo, i paesi continuano ad accumulare armi di distruzione di massa.
L'inquinamento e le radiazioni hanno creato una nuova razza mutante umana: i Fumoon.
Questa nuova razza vive nascosta in un'isola ed è tecnologicamente molto evoluta. Ha
appreso che la Terra sta per essere investita da un vortice nero mortale e vuole fuggire
portando in salvo gli animali della Terra, ma non l'uomo, essendo ritenuto un essere
malvagio e imperfetto. Pur tuttavia, una ragazza della razza Fumoon scoprirà che non tutti
gli uomini sono cattivi, e vorrà aiutarli.
