Windows 11 (26H1) build 28020.1495 is the forty-sixth Insider Preview build of the Windows vNext Bromine semester.
It was released to Windows Insiders in the Canary Channel on 28 January 2026 via the KB5073122 enablement package to build 28000.1495 (KB5074168).

** New features and changes **
* Shell *
The native support of .webp images for desktop background, initially implemented in build 26220.7653, has been ported to this build and gradually rolled out.
* Bugfixes *
- Fixed an issue where the edge of the warning dialog shown when shutting down Windows while other users were still signed in was truncated by the edge of the Start menu.
- Fixed an issue that was leading to a black flash when using a pen to ink in Snipping Tool.
- Fixed an issue that was causing shutdown to appear to restart on certain devices.
- Fixed an issue that was leading to the Windows Update page in the Settings app hanging when loading.
- Fixed an issue where language features under Time & Language > Language & region in the Settings app for Australia (English – Australia) wouldn't download (the button wouldn't do anything when clicked).
- Fixed an issue that was causing the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL bugcheck related to the use of certain smart card readers in certain scenarios.
* Bugs and quirks *
- All open File Explorer windows and tabs may unexpectedly jump to desktop or the File Explorer's Home page sometimes.
- Some devices may fail to come out of Modern Standby.
