Groznica koja sporo progresuje, dugo traje i teško se leči.
Nikola, učitelj iz Beograda, prihvata posao u zabačenom planinskom selu Gornik, ne znajući da ga tamo čekaju duboko zakopane tajne. U isto vreme, Lucija, ambiciozna doktorantkinja antropologije, dolazi u selo istražujući zajednicu koja se smatra potomcima drevnih Kelta. Međutim, meštani nisu spremni za promene – njihove strahove podgrevaju stare legende, tajanstvena prošlost i sumnjivi motivi dolazaka novih ljudi.
Dok Nikola pokušava da pridobije poverenje dece i roditelja, Lucija otkriva složene odnose i tajne zajednice. Anka, seoski druid, i Jova, starešina, balansiraju između održavanja mira i suočavanja s mogućim povratkom mračnih sila iz prošlosti. Istovremeno, spletke, nepoverenje i strah polako izbijaju na površinu, dok se granica između mitova i stvarnosti zamagljuje.
Kako se Nikola i Lucija zbližavaju, oboje shvataju da njihova prisutnost u Gorniku nije slučajna – selo krije opasnu prošlost koja bi mogla promeniti njihove živote zauvek.
